Siān was kind enough to commission Caregos to design an elabrate choker for her to wear to the National Pefume Awards and to the Bafta Cymru awards.
The brief was to design a stunning, eye-cathing, dog-collar style choker that would compliment an off-the shoulder black outfit. The piece needed to be elaborate and unique, but chic and elegant. This can be a hard balance to get right.
The design we came up with was to create a 5-bar choker (all hand made) wth yards and yards of silver wire (to which we added a selection of Swarovski crystals in different hues of grey - the perfect compliment to black, as it is close to the same tonal range) intertwined amongst the five bars of the choker.
Also used was a Swarovski 50mm Polygon pendant, as the focal part of the choker, which was then encased with further wire.
We also hand-decorated the pendant with additional Swarovski crystals in the rich 'Black Diamond' colourway. The piece is truly unique, the only one in the world.
The choker is fastened at the back, with handmade chains from which Swarovski bicon beads are suspended. A Swarovski pendant completes the section. This was done just in case Siān decided to have her hair up (so there would be added interest at the back of the piece) as we feel that the back of a piece of jewellery, when 'on show', is just as important as the front.
As a result of the colourways used, the piece has a strong Victoriana feel and we were delighted with the result.
