This lovely bracelet is another gift which we made to Siān to match the elaborate choker and belt we were commissioned to design for her.
The bracelet is made using silver plated wire as a base, we have then weaved yards and yards of silver wire within the base, on which a selection of Swarovski crystals have been suspened, very much in the style of the choker.
Due to the dramatic nature, of the piece, and the need to have rigidity we decided to use silver plated wire which does not stretch as solid silver wire does (when it becomes warm), and can give a much less structured feel to pieces.
Also, as this is more of an occassion piece than an everyday piece, so using high quality silver plated wire is acceptable in such instances.
This is the only time that Caregos will use plated wire (the only other acception being for wedding jewellery when a brides budget is restrictive, or when they do not require a solid silver piece).
